How I read books
How I approach reading a book
1 Step – I read the whole book to get a general impression
2 Step – I start working on it bit by bit, usually chapter by chapter. I read with the intention to find something positive, something that would change my life. I take notes on what I can possibly implement
3 Step – I try these ideas in my life
4 Step: I strive to master them by challenging myself with my 30-days Challenges.
At the moment, I’m working on the High Performance Habits book by Brendon Burchard and I have set myself a lot of challenges (Currently, 16 for March). But to note that first I have started small, with something easy for me. When I reached success with it, then I added another challenges. In this way of gradually increasing my challenges and successfully managing with them, I've built my confidence in my capabilities.
I will definitely repeat most of these challenges next months, too. I want to build strong habits so that I can be physically, emotionally and spiritually tough.
I know that repetition is the mother of mastery. Also, I know that they key is not just to build the bridge, to create the new habit, but to reinforce it multiple times so that this bridge, this habit becomes stronger and lasts a long time.
