The 7-days Book Challenge - Day 7

Starving Your Negative Emotions

from the last 7-th day of the 7-days Book Challenge – part 1 in the Inspiration and Support Facebook group

My Thoughts on Starving Your Negative Emotions from Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life book by Brian Tracy

📌 If you keep putting wood on the fire, it will keep burning and burning. Eventually, it could get out of control and destroys you and everything around you.

📌 If you keep thinking and talking about some negative emotion, it will keep growing and growing. Eventually, it could destroy you and those around you.

You keep the negative emotion alive by thinking and talking about it.

💡 Since, we can hold only one thought at a time, substitute the negative with the positive. Negative causes serious damage to you and to your health. It undermines your happiness and confidence, making you less effective in other areas of your life.

The way to do it – stop the supply of the negativity, don’t add more wood on the fire. Instead put out the fire of negativity with the water of positivity ☀️☀️ ☀️

There are 4 major reasons for the negative emotions – The first one is justifying your negative emotions.

When you keep complaining, finding reasons for your negative emotions, you give away your power. This is a wasted energy on something which we cannot change. Past is past, it’s over. We can only learn from it and move forward with hope. “Once we choose hope anything is possible” :-)

This time, dwelling on the past, on something which you don’t have control, robs you from the moments of joy and excitement when you think about future possibilities.

I love the concept of making excuses for others. As a matter of fact, I have being using it for a long time now. It is not always easy, but it absolutely works! – “Instead of justifying your anger and unhappiness, you should use your intelligence and imagination to excuse the other person, or to let go of the unhappy situation.” “Don’t be upset or worry about something that you can’t do anything about.”
