The daily diet of positive words – Word of the Day 12 - PRACTICE
Inspiration from Dimi
How can you learn something?
How can I learn diaphragmatic breathing? – I asked my FB friends. The first reply I got, wasn’t what I really expected and at first I was kinda irritated because it was so obvious. But common sense is not common practice. The reply I got was – By doing it!
Then it clicked that that is the key to everything.
How can you learn to play the piano? By practice, by doing the activity – By doing it!
How can you learn public speaking skills? By practice, by doing the activity – By doing it!
How can you learn to make great videos? By practice, by doing more videos – By doing it!
Like Jim Rohn says – Success is doing. Failure is not doing. It’s that simple.
What do you need to learn? What skills do you need to develop, to master? What kind of knowledge do you need to have in order to succeed in life?
Make a list of all of the things you need to learn and start working on them, practicing – Doing It
What is your list of skills and the deadlines till when you are going to acquire them?
Write these skills in the order of importance. Which is the most important for you right now - the one that will move your life forward in leaps and bounds?
Which is the least important?
Start spending more time on the major things, not on the minor things in your life.
"The number one reason people fail is because they're doing things of low value or no value, most of the time" - Brian Tracy
I'd love to finish with a very special exercise by Brian Tracy: “If you could only do one thing all day long, what would it be?”
1. If you could only do one thing all day long, which activity will contribute the most value to your business and career?
2. If you could only do two things all day long, what will be the second most important thing that you could do?
3. If you could only do three things all day long, what will be the third most important thing that you could do?
From now on, only do these 3 things and continually look for ways to improve!
